Donetsk, Sep 21 - DAN. Residents of Kiev-controlled part of Donetsk Region are offered free tickets to the DPR Football Cup finals in which the Donetsk-based Oplot Donbassa will play Arsenal from Makeyevka, acting DPR Youth, Sports and Tourism Minister Alexander Gromakov told a news conference at Donetsk News Agency on Thursday.

“Invitations cards are offered at the crossing points to all residents of Kiev-held territory of Donetsk Region wishing to see the match,” Gromakov said. “Also, they can take tickets from volunteers at the stadium just before the game.”

He noted that both teams were quite experienced and that it was hard to predict the outcome. DPR Football Union President Igor Petrov told the news conference that the fans would see a spectacular and eventful match.

“The teams are fast and skilled,” he said. “They know well each other’s strong and weak points and will use this knowledge to their advantage. Cup finals games are always full of tension, with teams wary of making mistakes in defence. But I think this game will be spectacular, full of attacks.”

The match will take place at Donetsk’s Metallurg Stadium at 3:00 p.m. on 23 September.

It is the third Football Cup in DPR history. The first two Cups were won by Donetsk-based Football Club Pobeda (Victory) .*jk
