Donetsk, Dec 26 — DAN. Specialists of the state-owned company “Single Customer in the Field of Construction” and the Capital Repairs Fund of the Moscow region have launched the works to restore the track and field stadium of the Olympiisky sport center in Donetsk.
The facility sprawls on an area of 3.5 hectares and accommodates a building with an area of 750 square meters. Renovation includes roofing, facade and interior finishing and sport courts resurfacing, the construction company’s press service said.
The sport infrastructure comprises a workout gym, eight 130-meter racetracks, four 400-meter circular race tracks, a mini soccer pitch and a wrestling hall.
The “Single Customer” is also rebuilding the Lokomotive sport center in Donetsk and the Olympic reserve equestrian sport school. The works, coordinated by the Russian construction and sport ministries, are due to be finished in 2024 as part of the regional socio-economic development program.*jk
