Donetsk, May 26 — DAN. Ukrainian gunmen have fired more than 330 rounds of ammunition at the Donetsk People’s Republic territory on Thursday.
Military situation
Kiev gunmen began to deliver fire at the DPR at 06:05 targeting the Kievsky, Kuibyshevsky and Pertrovsky districts of the DPR capital, Staromikhailovka, Yelenovka, Yasinovataya, Panteleimonovka, Dolomitnoye, Golmovsky, Troitskoye, Shakhta 6/7 and Zheleznaya Balka. The enemy used «Grad» multiple rocket launchers, mortars and grenade launchers.
Thirteen houses were damaged in Donetsk, Yelenovka and Gorlovka and 52 electrical substations went offline leaving 4,947 customers without electricity. Repairs are already underway but access to damaged equipment is restricted in some areas due to ongoing fighting.
Russian forces destroyed Ukrainian artillery and ammunition dumps in the Soledar area and military hardware at the Krasnoarmeisk railway station. Over the past 24 hours, the DPR militia, supported by the Russian army, killed 47 Ukrainian invaders and destroyed a 152 mm «Akatsia» self-propelled howitzer emplacement, two tanks, three armored assault vehicles and an ammunition dump.

Donetsk officials unveiled a monument to Hero of Russia and DPR, former commander of separate reconnaissance battalion «Sparta» Vladimir Zhoga (call sign «Vokha») who died during the liberation of Volnovakha in early March. The bust is installed in the Alley of Heroes in Donetsk’s Lenin Komsomol Park.
The Russian Emergency Situations Ministry has deployed three mobile information centers for the population in the liberated Mariupol. They broadcast news delivered by federal and republican channels and pass useful information to city residents. All district administrations are currently operating in the city.
The all-Russia political party «United Russia» will assign deputies and senators to the Donbass Republics to harmonize their legal system with Russian laws. A special economic zone in the DPR and the LPR is under consideration to accelerate the rebuilding and development of the region. Officials are also mulling the opportunity to launch special loan programs for business people.
DPR Head Denis Pushilin signed a decree establishing a local authority in the liberated Svetlodarsk. Four settlements have come under the governance of the Yasinovataya and Debaltsevo authorities.
