Donetsk, May 18 — DAN. The state-owned company “Single Customer in the Field of Construction” (PPK) has commissioned 25 new apartment houses since it joined Mariupol rebuilding projects, the PPK press service told the Donetsk News Agency on Thursday.

“As of today, the company has already commissioned 25 buildings comprising 1,598 apartments in Mariupol, ” the press service said adding that these are three-, five and nine-storey buildings with a total of 142,000 square meters of living space.

The apartments are provided to residents who lost their homes during hostilities. The housing construction runs in accordance with Mariupol’s urban development master plan. “The apartments are fully finished and provided with electric stoves and bathroom fittings.  House yards have convenient driveways and sidewalks with street lighting, parking lots and children’s playgrounds, ” the company said.

Mariupol is the largest city on the Sea of Azov coast, a key Donbass metallurgy center and seaport. It was liberated from Ukrainian troops on April 21, 2022. The city housing  stock and infrastructure sustained significant damage. Extensive rebuilding works are underway across the city.*jk
