Donetsk, Dec 21 — DAN. More than 188 million square meters of asphalt concrete have been laid in Russian regions over a year, President Vladimir Putin said at the ceremony to launch the M-12 “Vostok” road to Kazan.
“In total, more than 31,000 kilometers of federal, regional and local roads will have been built, repaired and brought up to standards by the results of the year, ” Putin said in a speech carried by Kremlin Internet resources.
These record amounts of work make a large contribution to the development of the country’s road networks and improving the quality of life, he added.
Earlier reports said that some 1,200 kilometers of roads were repaired in the Donetsk People’s Republic in 2023 thanks to the joint efforts of the Avtodor state company, sponsor regions and local workers.*jk
