Donetsk, Jun 8 — DAN. Russia’s Rosseti power grid operator has set up its branch in Donbass, the company press service reported on Friday.

“The Rosseti Board has approved the establishment of a new branch the Donbass <…> to improve grid infrastructure operation and control, create conditions for sustainable wholesale electric energy market and provide reliable and quality electricity supply to the DPR and LPR customers, ” the report said.

The Donbass Main Electricity Networks Company will operate 29 electrical substations and more than 2,015 kilometers of transmission lines at voltages of 150 kW or higher. The regional power grid will be serviced by more than 1,500 people.

Rosseti is one of the largest power grid operators in the world. It manages more than 2.3 million kilometers of power lines and more than 500,000 electrical substations with a transformer capacity of over 792,000 Mega Volt-Amper.*jk
