Donetsk, Jul 3 — DAN. The draft law on Special Military Operation Hero Town title has been submitted to the State Duma lower house of the Russian parliament.
The document sets forth the terms for awarding the honorary title to towns whose residents made a large contribution to the special military operation in the territory of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics since February 24, 2022 and Zaporozhye and Kherson regions since September 30, 2022.
If approved, hero towns will install commemorative steles and establish museums honoring the feats and courage of local residents.
Earlier reports said that President Vladimir Putin had awarded the tile of hero city to Mariupol and the labor glory town title to Gorlovka.*jk
