Donetsk, Dec 8 — DAN. Russian President Vladimir Putin has presented top military decorations to servicemen on Friday noting that the whole country is proud their feats in the special military operation zone.
“Soldiers and officers participating in the special military operation, including young guys, have the same strength of spirit and character which distinguished defenders of the Fatherland for centuries, ” Putin said before presenting the Gold Star medals to 15 Heroes of Russia at a ceremony in the Kremlin. “Their feats are truly amazing; the whole country is proud of them.”
“They are natives of Russian regions, from Karelia to the Primorye Territory representing different ethnic groups, and all of them, shoulder to shoulder, are defending their common homeland, ” he said.
The ceremony was held on the eve of Heroes of the Fatherland Day which Russia marks on December 9.*jk
