Donetsk, Sep 20 — DAN. Donetsk People’s Republic Head Denis Pushilin has appealed to Russian President Vladimir Putin over the referendum on joining the Russian Federation. The text of the appeal is published on the official Telegram channel of the DPR leader.
“Dear Vladimir Vladimirovich! I ask You to consider the issue of the Donetsk People’s Republic joining the Russian Federation as soon as possible in case of positive decision at the referendum of which we have no doubt. At the extraordinary session earlier on Tuesday, the DPR parliament passed the law on the referendum in the Republic setting the dates for voting from September 23 to September 27.
On Monday, the Public Chambers of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republic brought forward the initiative to hold referenda over the Republics’ joining the Russian Federation.
