Donetsk, Jan 5 – DAN. DPR sportsmen won over 1,600 medals in Russian championships in 2017, said the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Tourism.
"In 2017, DPR national teams won 1,668 medals in championships in Russia," the ministry's press service said.
Last year, DPR sportsmen won 562 gold medals, 560 silver medals and 546 bronze awards as they travelled to Russia 387 times to take part in sport games. Karate sportsmen and athletes won the majority of the medals. * ot
