Donetsk, Feb 6 - DAN. One hundred and fourteen markets across the Donetsk People’s Republic have come under control of Donbass Markets state-owned enterprise since April 2016, enterprise director Dmitriy Khorunzhiy told Donetsk News Agency.

“The transfer of markets into state ownership began in April 2016; 114 trade floors have come under government control since,” Khorunzhiy said.

There are some 40 markets in Donetsk, the rest are located elsewhere in in the republic.

Donbass Markets was established on 18 March 2015 by DPR Council of Ministers resolution. The Republic began de facto transfer of markets into state ownership in April 2016 after the parliament passed a law to regulate market trade. *jk
