Donetsk, Apr 7 - DAN. The All-Russia People’s Front (ONF) plans to open permanent missions in the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics. A humanitarian aid distribution centre will be set up in Donetsk; earlier, the ONF opened one in Lugansk, ONF Executive Committee Chairman Mikhail Kuznetsov told the Donetsk News Agency.
“We decided to open People’s Front missions in the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics on the same day when Russia recognized the independence of the Donbass states,” Kuznetsov said. “On April 6, we opened a warehouse and a humanitarian aid distribution centre in Lugansk. We’ll open a similar centre in Donetsk in the near future and then we’ll register the ONF permanent missions in accordance with DPR and LPR laws.”
The organisation’s current priority is to help residents of the Donbass Republics. “Our task is to help people in the DPR and the LPR; because we’re one people and don’t leave our own behind,” he said.
“As recently as March 20, we were the first to deliver humanitarian cargo to Mariupol jointly with the all-Russian Student Rescue Corps and the Emergency Situations Ministry, and handed out food kits on Shevchenko Avenue,” the ONF representative said.
The All-Russia People’s Front is a social movement established in 2011 at the initiative of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Its objective is to consolidate political and public forces to resolve priority tasks of Russia’s development.
The ONF controls the implementation of decrees and instructions of the Russian president, fights corruption, squandering and ineffective government spending, helps improve standards of living and protects citizens’ rights. Earlier, the ONF together with the Donetsk Republic social movement organized a New Year program with gifts for children from DPR frontlines areas and wounded children.*jk
