The funding for the integration of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics and the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions deserves special attention, said speaker of the Federation Council upper house of the Russian parliament Valentina Matviyenko at the 2024-2026 budget estimates hearings on Tuesday.
“The entry of the reattached regions in the common socio-economic and legal space and their integration in the budget process deserves special attention, ” Matviyenko said.
The speaker earlier said that the FC was launching the council for the integration of the new regions. It is expected to become the main parliamentary headquarters for the new territories’ transition to the Russian norms of life and public administration.*jk
