Donetsk, Jun 7 - DAN. The course towards Donbass’ reunification with Russia has remained unchanged since 2014, Donetsk People’s Republic People’s Council chairman Vladimir Bidyovka said at a meeting with Russia’s State Duma speaker Vyacheslav Volodin in Moscow on Tuesday.
“Every colleague, every DPR resident will support me in that we, the Donetsk People’s Republic, want to come home,” the Duma TV parliament channel quoted Bidyovka as saying. “We’ve long been waiting to get home, and this drive has not changed since 2014.”
“I’m confident that we’ll certainly be home in the big Russia, glorious Russia, great Russia. I’m also confident that all of us have to work towards this goal for the good of Russia, and mass around the Russian leader, President Vladimir Putin,” he said.
Bidyovka and Volodin had a meeting before the Russian parliament met in session.
The Donetsk delegation arrived in the Russian capital on June 6. It met with representatives of the “United Russia” party Central Executive Committee to discuss the Party’s humanitarian activity in Donbass and the harmonization of DPR and Russian laws. The delegation plans to work with representatives of State Duma factions and parliament committees and meet the State Duma faction leaders.*jk
