Donetsk, Sep 28 — DAN. Donbass residents are grateful to President Vladimir Putin for supporting the region, Donetsk People’s Republic Head Denis Pushilin said on Thursday.
“These are not just my words, but the opinion of an absolute majority of DPR residents, ” Pushilin said. “We feel this support, so we would like to say the words of gratitude to the government, the Federation Council and the State Duma for the special attitude to our region, and special thanks to all residents and leaders of the sponsor regions.”
He also said that as DPR Head, he would not let the president down.
Earlier on Thursday, Putin held a meeting with the elected heads of 26 Russian regions.*jk
