Donetsk, May 12 – DAN. The DPR People's Council is poised to reconsider security rules at schools, the deputy Chairman of the Parliament Olga Makeyeva said.
"We have introduced security guards at schools in 2014, when we realized that we are fighting a terrorist state," she said.
"Frankly speaking, we have relaxed, though the war is not going away. That is the reason why such a terrible tragedy (in Kazan) is a wake-up call to reconsider security standards and principles of school education."
She said that "changes in life" were certain to take place, including "the legal sphere".
Nine people, including seven children, were killed on Tuesday in the city of Kazan in central Russia, and 23 were wounded as a lone male 19-year-old, identified as Ilnaz Galyaviev, went on a shooting spree in the Kazan school No.175. He was detained and appeared to legally own a semi-automatic shotgun. Mourning was announced across the Tatarstan on May 12.*ot
