Donetsk, Dec 9 — DAN. The Donetsk People’s Republic has set up an operations headquarters to respond to military threats. DPR Acting Head Denis Pushilin’s Decree No 38 establishing the new body was published on Friday.
The HQ, led by DPR Acting Head, consists of emergencies minister, 1st Army Corps commander, interior minister, military commissar and economic development minister.
It approves measures in connection with the imposition of martial law and maximum level of response, coordinates forces and hardware involved in reacting to military threats, and drafts legal acts on martial law measures in case duties or restrictions are imposed on citizens and organizations.
The HQ decisions are binding for executive and local self-rule bodies, branches of federal executive bodies and organizations and citizens in the DPR.
