Donetsk, Nov 17 — DAN. Retails poultry prices in the Donetsk People’s Republic are 3-percent lower than in the neighboring Rostov region, the Interdepartmental Headquarters on Pricing told the Donetsk News Agency.

“Prices of poultry (dressed chicken) have increased across Russia; the DPR’s self-sufficient in poultry production approximates 50 percent; the Republic buys poultry from other regions to meet the local demand, ” the HQ said.

Poultry prices have increased by 28 percent in the DPR and by 39 percent in the Rostov region since the beginning of the year. The Russian State Statistics Service (Rosstat) reported that poultry prices in the DPR were 3 percent lower than in the Rostov region as of October 30, 2023.

Today, prices are identically growing in the DPR and other Russian regions, the HQ said.

DPR Head Denis Pushilin earlier ordered to monitor food prices at retail outlets amid growing number of complaints from the population.*jk
