Donetsk, June 4 – DAN. The DPR has introduced criminal liability for deliberate blocking of transport infrastructure, DAN correspondent reports from the People's Council plenary meeting.
"Uninterrupted operation of communication routes and urban road network is a critical condition when it comes to lives, health and safety of public. It is also related to the functioning of emergency services, ambulances, police, etc.," a member of the criminal and civil law committee Natalya Polyanskaya said.
The newly adopted law supplements Article 311 Part 1 of the DPR Criminal Code with cases related to blocking of communication routes and impediment of transport and pedestrians on the communication routes and urban roads if such actions threaten lives, public health or safety or put property under the risk of damage or destruction.
The DPR Head Denis Pushilin is expected to sign the law into force. *ot
