Donetsk, Dec 8 — DAN. Russian President Vladimir Putin has saved Donbass from destruction and brought back the true Motherland to its residents, DPR Head Denis Pushilin said on Friday in comments on Putin’s decision to run for president in 2024.
“Addressing our President, Artyom Zhoga voiced the request of all Donbass residents, ” Pushilin said. “Donbass can compare different periods in its life. To Donbass, the Russian president is foremost the leader who returned the Motherland to us; the leader who saved Donbass from destruction.”
There is not a family in the DPR which would not appreciate what Vladimir Putin has done and what he is doing for the region, he said.
Earlier on Friday, reports said that Vladimir Putin made the decision to seek another presidential term in the 2024 election.
Russia’s C: entral Election Commission said that the next presidential election would be held on March 15, 16 and 17, 2024. The CEC is expected to announce within the next few days if voting in the presidential election will be held in the new Russian regions.*jk
