Donetsk, Mar 8 — DAN. Russia’s United Shipbuilding Corporation (OSK) is ready to offer training and internship to shipbuilders from the Donetsk People’s Republic, the OSK press service told the Donetsk News Agency.
“The United Shipbuilding Corporation is prepared to provide comprehensive assistance to the Azov Shipyard in restoring competences and occupational retraining, ” the press service said. “If needed, OSK companies will offer internship jobs to colleagues from the DPR.”
The issue of the OSK’s participation in rebuilding the Azov Shipyard will be decided upon by federal executive bodies, it added. On February 22, the DPR government announced plans to rebuild the Azov Shipyard. Back then, officials from the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade and OSK companies visited the enterprise on an inspection tour.
United Shipbuilding Corporation employs more than 80,000 personnel and consolidates the bulk of assets of the Russian shipbuilding sector with some 40 enterprises, organizations, shipyards and design bureaus.*jk
