Donetsk, Apr 12 — DAN. Russia’s Promsvyazbank (PSB) has issued some 1.5 million payment cards to residents of the Donetsk People’s Republic, the Bank’s press service told the Donetsk News Agency on Wednesday.
“The DPR population got almost 1.5 PSB cards, ” the press service said adding that 350,000 of them were payroll cards.
Promsvyazbank was established in 1995. It is one of the largest Russian banks with head office in Moscow. PSB began to operate in the DPR in June 2022. In January 2023, the regional parliament passed the law on restructuring the DPR Central Bank into a limited liability company for subsequent sale to PSB. The Russian bank currently operates 250 offices across the Republic.*jk
