Donetsk, Apr 21 – DAN. The workplace health and safety event took place in Donetsk today, exhibiting latest innovations of over 30 enterprises and scientific institutions of DPR and Russia.
The exhibition was hosted in Olympiyskiy sport center.
"We protect life and labor of our employees, in coal industry and in energy field. I would like this event to become traditional, so that we work further on to demonstrate best-practice and innovative approaches when it comes to workplace health and safety," said the acting Minister of Coal and Energy Eduard Golenko.
The exhibition opened at 10 a.m., as exhibitors and participants from DPR regions and cities – students, experts, companies from CIS countries - began arriving to see the latest innovations, products, systems, and establish connections to promote employee safety.
The exhibitors included Avtomatgormash and Dongiproshakht research institutes from Donetsk, Makeyevugol coal company, Makeyevka Research Institute; industrial clothing, rubber goods, and chemicals manufacturers.
Russian Kemerovo Scientific Center for Industrial Safety showcased its coal mines safety parameters controlling equipment.
The event was organized as The World Day for Safety and Health at Work is approaching. It is an annual international campaign to promote safe, healthy and decent work. It is held on 28 April and has been observed by the International Labour Organization (ILO) since 2003. *ot
