Donetsk, Oct 4 — DAN. Medics, teachers, servicemen and representatives of other professions from the Donetsk People’s Republic will be invited to participate in the operation of the DPR stand at the international exhibition forum “Russia” in Moscow, DPR display coordinator Yelena Ostroukh told the Donetsk News Agency on Wednesday.

“Our best doctors, servicemen and officers, directors of cultural centers, volunteers and ministers will come to communicate with exhibition visitors on this or that day, ” Ostroukh said. “People want first hand stories, that is why we put such an emphasis on it: residents will talk about what is happening in the region while visitors learn about it from them, not only from television.”

Earlier reports said that the DPR stand at the exhibition forum “Russia” would be executed in the form of a seven-meter-high coal hill with a 15-meter long time tunnel. The tunnel will feature high screens showing Donbass history from the 18th century to date. The total area of the DPR stand will exceed 100 square meters. Meanwhile, the DPR launched the Pride Map project in the runup to the exhibition. It is a DPR guide which is being composed by local residents.  A participant has to register at the project website, mark a place of significance, for example a monument, school, street, hospital or cultural facilities and attach its story of pride.

On March 29, President Vladimir Putin signed the decree on holding the international exhibition forum “Russia” to show the key achievements of the country in various branches of the economy and promote international cooperation. It will open on People’s Unity Day (November 4) and last for more than five months until April 12 when the country will mark Cosmonautics Day. All regions of the country will present their stands. The exhibition of achievements includes business, cultural and entertainment programs, Days of Regions, fairs and culinary traditions festivals. First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Sergei Kiriyenko heads the exhibition’s Organizing Committee.*jk
