Donetsk, Nov 13 - DAN. Republic of South Ossetia President Anatoly Bibilov congratulated Denis Pushilin on his election as Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic.

“I congratulate you in connection with your election to the post of Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic. Your sweeping victory clearly shows high confidence and support of DPR’s residents,” Bibilov said in a statement published on the South Ossetian president website.

He noted that Pushilin’s professionalism and experience would help him maintain the pace of the Republic’s  development and Donbass people welfare improvement and give an additional impulse to DPR-South Ossetian relations.

Bibilov wished Pushilin robust health and inexhaustible energy, and peace, stability and prosperity to the DPR.

The DPR Central Election Commission has counted 100 percent of voting papers. Denis Pushilin won the election netting 60.85 percent of votes. The runners up are Roman Khramenkov who gathered 14.2 percent of votes, Yelena Shishkina (9.3 percent), Roman Yevstifeyev (7.75 percent) and Vladimir Medvedev (6.5 percent). The CEC rejected 1.4 percent of ballot papers as invalid. *jk
