Donetsk, Feb 15 – DAN. Participants in the rally protesting OSCE inefficiency, who have been picketing the OSCE mission office in Donetsk, insisted on reinspection of shelling damage in western part of the DPR capital.
The rally insisted that OSCE highlight the damage caused by Ukrainian forces shelling to 20 houses in Trudovskiye neighbourhood in Donetsk’s Petrovskiy district overnight to 26 January, which was not mentioned in the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission report.
Head of the Mission’s Donetsk Office Olga Skripovskaya, in response to the rally’s demands, said the observers were ready to visit Trudovskiye for reinspection.
Special Monitoring Mission representatives assured Donetsk residents that they would arrive in Trudovskiye in an hour. This ended the rally.
The action started near the Park Inn Hotel accommodating OSCE observers at 9:00 a.m., local time, on Wednesday. The participants accused the Special Monitoring Mission and OSCE SMM Principal Deputy Chief Monitor Alexander Hug of inaction and demanded objective coverage of events in Donbass region. *jk
