Donetsk, Feb 5 - DAN. The Donetsk People’s Republic has urged Kiev not to unleash a new big war in Donbass, DPR Operations Command deputy commander Eduard Basurin stated on Monday.
“In the face of armed aggression planned by the Ukrainian command we ask the international community to call upon Ukraine in the person of Petr Poroshenko (Ukrainian President), Stepan Poltorak (Ukrainian Defence Minister), Viktor Muzhenko (chief of Ukrainian Army General Staff) and Mikhail Zabrodskiy (“anti-terrorist operation” commander) to remember the commitments undertaken by Kiev under the Minsk Agreements to prevent the resumption of the Donbass conflict,” the statement said.
DPR will send detailed reports on the Ukrainian army plans to launch offensive in DPR region to OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine and Russian, U.S., French and German representatives.
“I also wish to tell this to Ukraine’s sober-minded population: don’t send your husbands and sons to the bloodbath,” Basurin said.
Earlier reports said Ukrainian armed forces were preparing to launch a new Donbass war. DPR intelligence said the enemy planned to deliver strikes on four axes in order to take control of Donetsk and come to the border with the Russian Federation. *jk
