Donetsk, Jan 11- DAN. The cooperation between the Donetsk People’s Republic and Syria has to reach a new level this year, DPR Foreign Minister Natalia Nikonorova told the Donetsk News Agency on Tuesday.
“Last year was very successful in terms of building cooperation with the Syrian Arab Republic,” Nikonorova said. “DPR delegations made working visits to Syria three times in 2021. This built solid groundwork for further fruitful interaction which we hope will become closer and more diversified this year.”
The main result on this track was an interaction agreement between the Donetsk Republic social organization and the Arab Socialist Ba’ath Party and meetings between DPR representatives and leading Syrian politicians, she said.
“In 2021, our representatives took part in the RE-BUILD Syria international exhibition for the second time where they presented a catalogue of DPR exporting companies and held talks with Syrian and international participants over further cooperation and investments,” the DPR diplomat said.
A DPR delegation visited Syria last December. Donetsk was represented by First Deputy Director of the DPR Head Administration Gennady Lebed, DPR Head’s advisor Andrey Kramar, First Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Peresada and head of the Central Executive Committee of the Donetsk Republic social movement Alexey Muratov.*jk
