Tskhinval, Sep 20 – DAN. Donetsk People’s Republic Head Denis Pushilin attended the military parade in Tskhinval on Friday on the occasion of the 29th anniversary of the establishment of South Ossetia.

The DPR leader stood on a reviewing stand together with South Ossetia President Anatoly Bibilov, North Ossetia-Alania Head Vyasheslav Bitarov and officials from Russia and other countries.

“Russian assistance was a token of South Ossetia’s victory, providing hope and support in in the most difficult moments. The Russian army brought peace to South Ossetia. Our inviolable union with the Russian Federation, cemented by international agreements, enables us to successfully pursue peaceful development of the country with guaranteed security of our borders,” Bibilov said.

The parade was held on Tskhinval’s Moskovskaya Street. It began with trooping the colour of South Ossetia’s armed forces. The parade commander, South Ossetia Defence Minister Ibragim Gaseyev inspected the parade units and reported their readiness to hold the event.

Some 20 parade units represented the Russian Defence Ministry 4th Guards military base and South Ossetia’s Defence Ministry, police, the Emergencies Ministry and the Cadet School. The troops march was followed by a display of armoured vehicles that rolled along the street.

After the parade, the state leaders visited a children’s art exhibition in Tskhinval’s main park.

A delegation of the DPR led by Denis Pushilin is in South Ossetia on an official visit.*jk
