Donetsk, Jan 10 – DAN. DPR court martial found Ukrainian citizen Oleg Chulga guilty of espionage for Kiev forces sentencing him to 11 years, the press service of the Republic’s State Security Ministry (MGB) said on Tuesday.

“On 2 December 2016, the Court Martial, on the strength of the MGB-gathered evidence exposing Chulga’s spying, and his honest confession, passed a guilty verdict under DPR Criminal Code Article 321 and sentenced him to 11 years in prison,” the press service said.
Chulga who helped DPR militia in Slavyansk in 2014, was recruited by Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) agents, MGB investigators said.

He subsequently maintained contact with three SBU officers, who received sensitive information from him and tasked him with gathering intelligence on deployment of military hardware and DPR militia disposition. Chulga was detained in February 2015.

In October 2016, three persons were given prison terms in DPR for espionage for Kiev. *jk
