Mariupol, Nov 29 — DAN. Two times world champion Jeff Monson has given a Brazilian jiu-jitsu master class in the city of Mariupol in the Donetsk People’s Republic.
City MMA Federation Chairman, sport center director Vladislav Myasnikov welcomed the famous fighter as he came to the Dmitry Donskoy MMA Club. Its wrestling gym was unveiled on November 11. Myasnikov told the guest about the efforts to create a friendly atmosphere in training and film screenings for athletes.
The Club promotes not just sports, but also healthy lifestyle, he said.
“I want to complete gym construction and I wish for my students to develop and participate in various tournaments and promotion events, ” he told Monson. “It doesn’t matter if they don’t become great champions; the most important thing is that they grow up to be good people.”
The champion then gave a master class for adults and children. In March 2023, Monson led a training session at Makeyevka’s martial arts school launched by the “United Russia” political party as part of the project to promote Russia’s Sambo unarmed defense.*jk
