Donetsk, Sep 2 – DAN. Alexander Zakharchenko's tragic death made Donbass people rally together despite disagreements, said DPR Ombudswoman Daria Morozova.
"Alexander Vladimirovich had an ability to bring very different people together, different by temperament or character. He always united. We have rallied together today even with those we had disagreements with. Upon his death he brought together not only Donbass peope, not only authorities, but all the roots of Donbass have knotted.
Over 70 thousand people have gathered today in downtown Donetsk to pay tribute to the late DPR Head Alexander Zakharchenko, who received the honor of lying in state at the Donbass Opera. The queue of those who came to say farewell stretched for several kilometers.
Alexander Zakharchenko was fatally wounded in an explosion in a restaurant in the center of Donetsk on August 31, 2018.
