Donetsk, Sep 25 - DAN. The western guarantors of the Minsk Agreements have not  given their official assessment of the August 31 terrorist attack in central Donetsk in which DPR Head Alexander Zakharchenko was killed, Donetsk People’s Republic acting Foreign Minister, the Republic’s envoy to the Contact Group in Minsk Natalia Nikonorova said in an interview to the Donetsk News Agency.

“Sadly, the western guarantors of the Minsk Agreements have not yet given an official assessment of this act given the fact that the terrorist attack occurred not far from the hotel accommodating OSCE mission members,” said Nikonorova, who had represented the DPR at the Contact Group since September 12.

The diplomat said that the Republic had supported Russia’s initiative to conduct an international investigation into the terrorist attack.

“We expect the international mediators to not only express concern and words of support, but also take real measures to press Kiev into implementing the peace accords,” she said.

DPR Head Alexander Zakharchenko and his bodyguard Vyacheslav Dotsenko were killed in an explosion in central Donetsk on August 31. Another 12 people were wounded. Investigators said that Ukrainian secret serves were behind the terrorist attack.*jk
