Donetsk, Apr 28 – DAN. The Vodafone mobile carrier has resumed service in the DPR, said DPR minister of communications Viktor Yatsenko.
"Under the directive of the DPR Head Alexander Zakharchenko, with the assistance of our representative at the Minsk talks Denis Pushilin we have finally managed to come to an agreement to bring technical experts of the Vodafone company to the DPR," he said.
The experts carried out equipment check-up. During the last two days, joint efforts were applied to re-launch the service, and on Friday "the company resumed operation", Yatsenko said.
On January 11, the DPR was cut off from the last Ukrainian mobile carrier MTS-Ukraine (Vodafone) services after an emergency disconnection of communication channel outside Elenovka. A DPR mobile carrier Phoenix was the only mobile services provider in the Republic. *ot
