Donetsk, Oct 30 - DAN. The United Donbass Foundation has provided assistance to more than 6,100 needy residents of the Donetsk region since the start of its operation last year, Foundation chairman Oleg Balykin said at a press briefing at the Donetsk News Agency on Tuesday.

“As of October 27, 2018 the Foundation had paid a total of 219,267,840 rubles to 6,104 people since the start of its operation in the spring of 2071,” Balykin said.

The Foundation’s Commission has reviewed 16,694 requests for help overall; of those 6,538 applications were approved to the tune of 237,100,840 rubles, he added.

The Donetsk People’s Republic set up the United Donbass Foundation in March 2017 as part of the Donbass people reunification humanitarian programme. Its objective is to help people in a difficult situation. The Foundation provides assistance to residents of the Donetsk People's Republic and Kiev-held areas of the Donetsk region.*jk
