Donetsk, Dec 29 — DAN. Volunteers have unloaded and distributed more than 1,700 tons of relief supplies to recipients in the Donetsk People’s Republic in the outgoing year, said DPR Acting Youth Policy Minister Kirill Makarov.
“The Republic currently has 26 youth organizations that are implementing five projects, ” Makarov told the Donetsk News Agency adding that more than 50,000 volunteers participated in humanitarian actions in 2023.
They helped deliver relief supplies to 3,600 servicemen, 550 children and 330 families, he said.
The Donetsk News Agency earlier reported that Moscow had sent 15,000 New Year gifts for children to Donetsk at the initiative of Moscow mayor Sergei Sobyanin.*jk
