Donetsk, Sep 14 – DAN. United Donbass Foundation has provided financial support to 414 residents of the Donetsk People’s Republic and Kiev-held areas of Donetsk Region who found themselves in a difficult situation, Foundation Chairman Oleg Balykin said on Thursday.

As of today, 414 payments have been made totalling 12,413,240 rubles; 6,455,245 rubles were paid to Donetsk Region residents and 5,957,995 rubles to DPR citizens,” Balykin said.

The Foundation’s Commission has reviewed some 3,000 applications since the start of its operation. It has approved 575 applications for financial aid totalling 16,986,940 rubles up to date, he added.

DPR launched United Donbass Foundation on 9 March 2017 as part of the Donbass people reunification programmes approved by DPR and LPR heads Alexander Zakharchenko and Igor Plotnitskiy on 17 February 2017.

The programme envisions cash payments and provision of food and medications which can also be contributed by DPR residents. Nine groups are eligible for assistance, including persons in the 1st and 2nd disability categories, single parent families with children up to 18 years of age, families with three or more children up to 18 years of age, citizens aged over 65 and some other groups.*jk
