Donetsk, Nov 30 - DAN. United DonbassFoundation has paid 32 million rubles worth of financial assistance to the needy in the region since the start of its operation in spring 2017, Foundation chairman Oleg Balykin said on Tuesday.
“As of 29 November, 1,117 payments had been made totalling 32,336,740 rubles; 16,964,945 rubles of the sum were paid to 576 applicants living in Kiev-held areas of Donetsk region, and 15,371,795 rubles to 541 applicants in DPR,” Balykin said.
United Donbass Foundation began operation on 9 March 2017 under the aegis of the Donbass people reunification programme launched on 17 February 2017. Assistance includes the payment of cash benefits and supply of food and medications which can also be contributed by DPR residents. *jk
