Donetsk, Feb 27 - DAN. United Donbass Foundation has paid more than 11 million rubles worth of financial assistance to the needy in the region since the beginning of this year, Foundation chairman Oleg Balykin told on Tuesday.
“The social organisation has reviewed 506 requests for financial aid to the tune of 17,503,000 rubles since the beginning of this year; as of 26 February, 331 payments had been made totalling 11,297,000 rubles,” Balykin said.
The Commission plans to review more than 450 applications at the meeting on Wednesday.
Average one-time payments to Donbass residents amount to 36,100 rubles ($640), the maximum payment is about 60,000 rubles ($1,061).
DPR launched United Donbass Foundation on 9 March 2017 as part of the Donbass people reunification programme. The programme envisions cash payments and provision of food and medications which can also be contributed by Donetsk People’s Republic residents. *jk
