Donetsk, Jun 5 - DAN. The United Donbass Foundation Commission has approved nearly 95 million rubles worth of financial assistance to more than 2,400 applicants in the region in 2018, Foundation chairman Oleg Balykin said at a press briefing at the Donetsk News Agency on Tuesday.


The Commission has met ten times in 2018. It has reviewed 4,282 requests for aid; of those 2,411 have been approved to the tune of 94,482,200 rubles,” Balykin said.

It granted 335 applications at the latest meeting on May 31. Payments will begin after the Republic’s authorities select the Donbass Post offices which are most convenient to the recipients, he added.

“The Commission has approved 3,910 of 8,596 financial aid cases totalling 138,223,940 rubles since the non-governmental organisation began operation,” Balykin said. “As of May 31, 3,254 people had been paid a total of 111,439,840 rubles.”
