Donetsk, Dec 8 - DAN. United Donbass Foundation has approved some 4,000 requests for one-time benefits since the beginning of this year, Foundation chairman Oleg Balykin said at a press briefing at the Donetsk News Agency on Tuesday.
“In 2020, the Foundation’s Commission held 26 sessions at which 3,955 applications were approved; as of December 7, 3,012 people had collected their benefits,” Balykin said.
The Commission has approved more than one third of a total of 41,709 requests for help since the start of its operation; 14,195 people have received benefits as of now, he added.
The Donetsk People’s Republic set up the United Donbass Foundation in March 2017 as part of implementation of a humanitarian programme. Its objective is to help people in a difficult situation both in the DPR and Kiev-held areas of the Donetsk region.*jk
