Donetsk, Dec 3 – DAN. The United Donbass foundation has allocated 55 million rubles in aid to people with disabilities, the foundation's press service said.
"Since the beginning of 2018, the Foundation approved 1,343 applications from the DPR and Kiev-controlled territories for the total of 55,000,300 rubles in the categories of 1,2-degree disabilities, war invalids and families with disabled children."
The United Donbass foundation was established in March 2017. It aims at helping individuals in difficult circumstances.
The Day of Disabled Persons is observed since 1992 when the United Nations General Assembly endorsed resolution 47/3. It aims to promote the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities in all spheres of society and development, and to increase awareness of the situation of persons with disabilities in every aspect of political, social, economic and cultural life. *ot
