Donetsk, Jan 17 – DAN. The OSCE SMM said it is willing to assist in repairing of the MTS Ukraine (Vodafone) mobile carrier communication line, the missions' press service told DAN.
"The SMM is ready to assist the repairs by carrying out mirror patrols on the both sides of the contact line if safety guarantees are provided," the SMM said.
The mission said its members had to shift to alternative means of communication to facilitate the connection between its teams in the DPR and the LPR.
On January 11, the DPR was cut off from the last Ukrainian mobile carrier MTS-Ukraine (Vodafone) services after an emergency disconnection of communication channel outside Elenovka. Sales of DPR Phoenix mobile operator starter kits grew immediately. In the first five days after the MTS Ukraine failure Phoenix added 50,000 subscribers. *ot
