Donetsk, Sep 6 — DAN. The number of prospective students wishing to enroll in teacher training programs has increased by 10 percent in the Donetsk People’s Republic compared with 2022, the DPR Education and Science Ministry press service told the Donetsk News Agency.
“As many as 1,815 applications were submitted for teacher training programs in 2023, up 161 (10 percent) from 2022, ” the press service said.
The Ministry explained it by higher pay in the education sector and new motivation measures for teachers such as contests and prize money.
In March, DPR authorities increased the wage fund and salaries of public sector employees. *jk
