Donetsk, Oct 2 — DAN. The state-funded places at Donetsk People’s Republic universities will be 100 percent filled following additional admissions, said DPR education authorities.

“As of today, state-funded places are 90 percent filled; admissions are ongoing. In the near future, all the state-funded places will be filled, ” the DPR Education and Science Ministry said.

“Higher education centers will continue to provide online instruction due to the military situation and unceasing artillery attacks on Donetsk which accommodates most of the universities. Onsite learning will continue in Mariupol’s Azov Sate Technical University and A.I. Kuindzhi State University, ” the Ministry said.

Earlier reports said that DPR universities had admitted more than 8,800 students in 2023. The most popular fields of study were law, economics, management, design, architecture, IT industry and medicine. The region has 16 state universities and one private university.*jk
