Donetsk, Jul 4 — DAN. Russian Construction and Public Utilities Minister Irek Faizullin and Donetsk People’s Republic Acting Head Denis Pushilin have signed a cooperation agreement to develop housing construction in the new Russian region.
“The Republic needs new affordable housing, ” the Ministry’s press service reported. The agreement aims to help the DPR reach the average Russian housing construction indictors by 2030 and commission 0.83 square meters of housing per person.
Priority is given to urban development and completion of apartment building projects.
The Ministry is currently helping the DPR prepare for the heating season. Specialists have repaired 323 boiler houses, 20 pumping stations and 206 pipelines.
Earlier reports said that 38,000 specialists with 4,900 pieces of equipment from 84 Russian regions would use state-of-the-art technology to restore the housing stock and vital infrastructure facilities in the new territories.*jk
