Donetsk, Oct 17 — DAN. Interim Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushilin has said that certain progress has been made at the ongoing talks over the release of Donetsk People’s Republic militiamen from Ukrainian captivity.
“There’s been certain success. I believe we’ll have some positive information on the next prisoner exchange quite soon, ” Pushilin said in a live stream on Telegram.
“We have to bail out all of them, ” he said in response to the question about when DPR militiamen would return from Ukrainian captivity.
He added that the conditions in which DPR fighters are kept as prisoners of war “are most horrible.”
Twenty Russian servicemen returned home from Ukraine in the previous prisoner swap, the Russian Defense Ministry reported on October 13.*jk
