Donetsk, Oct 27 — DAN. More than 50 Ukrainian servicemen have voluntarily surrendered to Russian troops in the special military operation zone over the past week, the Russian Defense Ministry reported on Friday.
“Within a week, 54 servicemen from Ukraine’s 54th Mechanized Brigade, 56th, 57th and 58th Motorized Infantry Brigades and 110th and 115th Territorial Defense Brigades yielded themselves prisoner of their own accord, ” the report said.
Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu earlier spoke about mass surrender of Ukrainian troops in the past three or four weeks and voluntary surrender of some of them.*jk
