Donetsk, May 9 - DAN. Donetsk People’s Republic Head Denis Pushilin offered his best wishes to the Republic’s residents on the occasion of the 74th anniversary of the Great Victory, thanking WWII veterans for their heroism.
“Victory Day is a sacred holiday for each of us. It is a holiday of courage and bravery,” Pushilin said. ”The Great Victory of our glorious liberator forefathers is an example of courage and bravery in our struggle against Ukrainian nationalists who keep trying to take peaceful Donbass towns and villages by force.”
The Republic’s leader thanked the Great Patriotic War veterans for their valour in the difficult war years. “We bow to you in admiration of your heroism and self-sacrifice in wartime. Your feat has become an everlasting example for future generations,” Pushilin said.
He also thanked the DPR militiamen who were following in the footsteps of their forefathers to defend the Motherland from the enemy. “Thanks to you, the Republic builds a peaceful life implementing plans for a happy future,” the DPR leader said.*jk
