Donetsk, Aug 20 – DAN.  The DPR Head Denis Pushilin announced the drills of the Republic's joint response to emergencies caused by Ukrainian aggression, a statement published on the official website of the leader says.

The drills are to be held since August 23 to August 27, the goal is to train the response to crisis situations in case of external threats from Ukraine.

“Official Kiev keeps showing the instability of its political course and aggravating the already difficult situation in Donbass,” he said.

"Taking into account the facts and intelligence data, I consider it expedient to conduct another check of the effectiveness of joint actions of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of State Security, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Transport in the of August 23-27 to resolve critical situations in the event of possible external threats from Ukraine. Systemic control of the preparedness to tackle crisis situations on the side of state agencies, their level of interaction and responsiveness are the key to the safety of our citizens and safety of the Republic."

Earlier today it was reported that the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics signed a regulation on the establishment of a joint commission for the prevention and elimination of emergencies.

The Additional Measures to Strengthen the Ceasefire were signed at the Contact Group meeting on July 22 to reinforce and control the indefinite ceasefire in effect since July 21, 2019, the latest in the series of more than 20 reconfirmation and announcements of the “silence regime”.
